Section 22 – Special Funds General Information

22.1     The specific purpose or circumstance(s) for the use of a special fund and the method of providing the money to be deposited in said special fund by means other than assessment must be established by:

22.1A  These by-laws or amendments thereof;

  1. IB A majority of those voting members present and voting at a special meeting; or

22.1C  An affirmative vote of no less than (6) members of the BOD.

22.2     A separate fund shall be established for each special fund and any changes thereof shall be accounted for in the next Treasurer’s report.

22.3     The signature of both the President and the Treasurer shall be required to withdraw such money from a special fund.

22.4     An affirmative vote of at least 2/3rds of the voting membership present and voting at a special meeting is required to:

22.4A  Use any money on a special fund for any other purpose than the original or appropriately amended purpose for which said fund is established;

22.4B  To amend the purpose of a special fund if established originally by any method described in this section other than by virtue of these by-laws.  If these by-laws or any amendment thereof established said fund, then to amend the purpose of said fund shall follow the same procedure as that of amendments to these by-laws; or

22.4C Liquidate all or part of said fund depositing said amount in the general reserves.

22.5     The BOD reserves the right to use money from the special fund for the same purpose as those of any established fund as it may be available and in the best interest of the Club.
